Generally speaking, a spice is any seed, fruit, root, bark, or other plant material that is used to flavour or colour food. Herbs, which are plants' leaves, blossoms, or stems used as flavouring or garnish, are distinguished from spices. Spices are occasionally employed in food preparation, cosmetics, perfumery, and religious ceremonies. For instance, vanilla is frequently utilised as a component in the production of fragrances. Imagine a world without spices is like imagining world without luxury, culture, or always spices.

Today, due to my attention is some people place spicy, we are curating a list of most expensive spices in the world, and a little detail about what they are called locally in hindi and prices and what kind of aroma they hold. The spices on this list are full of aroma, history, and luxury and with price higher than Mars Mission yes i have said it(Mangal se mahngaa masala jii haan nii). Though few of them are madly costly, mostly just made in the list due to no competition.

Both genera are indigenous to Indonesia and the Indian subcontinent. They can be identified by their little seed pods, which are triangular in cross-section and spindle-shaped. Elettaria pods are light green and smaller, whereas Amomum pods are larger and darker in colour. It’s made from the seeds of the cardamom plant pods. Long pepper sell for $47(Rs. 4500) making is one in this list.

An aromatic spice known as mahleb or mahlepi is created from the seeds of the Prunus mahaleb cherry species (the Mahaleb or St Lucie cherry). The cherry seed kernel, which has an approximate 5 mm diameter and is soft and chewy when extracted, is obtained by cracking the cherry stones. Before use, the seed kernel is ground into a powder. Its flavour is comparable to a cherry and bitter almond mix, as well as marzipan. Being having such luxurious qualities make it sell at $65-75(Rs. 5000)

Numerous global culinary traditions make use of the fennel plant's bulb, foliage, and fruits. The most effective form of fennel is its little blooms, or "pollen," which is also its most expensive form. When young, fennel fruit is green or brown and gradually ages to a dull grey colour, with an anise-flavored scent. Green fruits are best for cooking. Saffron is said to have its roots in Iran, however there are still some questions about where exactly. However, it has also been proposed that this plant may have originated in Greece and Mesopotamia. The saffron crocus gradually spread across much of Eurasia before being introduced to regions of North Africa, North America, and Oceania. The phytochemicals picrocrocin and safranal are responsible for saffron's flavour and iodoform- or hay-like aroma. Additionally, it includes the carotenoid pigment crocin, which gives textiles and dishes a deep golden-yellow tint.
