What is attention? Is it merely a capacity of the brain or does it have a deeper existential prerogative? Is it a limited biomechanical process or is our capacity of awareness unlimited?
Wherever your attention is, there you are regardless of circumstances. Inferring that our essence is metaphysical. Whatever might be described as having sentience or presence to attend, must have the capacity to absorb and assimilate experience, what is being observed, objectively or subjectively. In the same manner its focus can be projected into memory or the present regardless of space or time. A living silence perhaps for lack of better words, for what can process what's already saturated but a quality of a more refined kind or antithetical to what's being processed. It must predate sensation itself. On the other hand the more one indulges in experience, dreams, thoughts and pleasures the deeper that principle remains hidden, lost in the marring of sensation. Austere nakedness, ascetic discernment and innocence of righteousness to find peace and expansion in that immovable center from which all experience springs and returns to. The beginning and the end.
Attention is the cognitive process of selectively focusing on certain information while ignoring other information. It is a complex mental ability that enables us to filter out distractions, concentrate on a specific task or object, and sustain focus over time. Attention is essential for learning, problem-solving, decision-making, and many other cognitive tasks. There are different types of attention, including sustained attention, selective attention, divided attention, and alternating attention, each of which plays a unique role in our cognitive functioning. Attention can be improved through various techniques, such as mindfulness meditation, cognitive training, and physical exercise.
